Evening snuggles with my squishy girl.
We went for our second walk for the day and we were near the park and Damian points and says, “momma, slide” and I said “no sweety, not today”. Then I thought to myself, “why not??”. So I swerved through the grass and parked the stroller. He kept saying, ” Leon.. rana(lion..frog)”. He ran around for about 30 minutes and then we were back on our way.
Danny slept in a little while the kiddos hung out in the living room watching cartoons while I made breakfast.
I had a sweet potato I needed to use up and with some Pinterest research, I found a recipe for 2 ingredient sweet potato pancakes. Just 2 eggs and a sweet potato.
Lali loooved them. I tried them and they were weird.
Damian thought they were weird too.
But Lali is all, “I don’t care, put it in my belly!” 🙂
We went on our walk a little later than usual and Lali fell asleep.
I took this after the kiddos went down for their afternoon nap.
I have a feeling she is going to walk soon. Damian walked early. I remember it just like it was yesterday. I was in his room folding his clothes and he was playing on the floor. He managed to get into a standing position without holding on to anything and he balanced himself with the biggest grin on his face and then he took a step and fell over. He was so excited he did it again. He did it all day and when Danny got home, he showed off his new skill. I will never forget the look on Danny’s face. He put his hand over his mouth and I thought he was going to cry happy tears. He didn’t. He picked up Damian and threw him in the air. He was so cute walking around everywhere because he was so little. Who knows though.. She’s a crawler and Damian was not. He was a roller..
corrugated metal ceiling. Finally, all the drywall and insulation is in(thanks to our one and only, Jack of all trades <3) and so, it’s time for the ceiling. We decided to mix it up a little.
Danny put up some wood so that the pieces of metal could sit on them. That way he wouldn’t need another person to hold them up for him while he drilled them in.
I can’t wait to see what it will look like when it’s done. We are all heading over tonight and I’m going to try to fill the trash bin while Danny puts in the rest of the ceiling.
